Nick joined Port Jackson Partners as a Principal in 2019 after working with the Boston Consulting Group for more than eight years. While working in New York, Nick was seconded to the BCG Henderson Institute where he focused on energy disruption and risk based strategy.
Nick brings extensive experience as a strategy advisor in financial services, particularly retail banking, and in a range of topics relating to growth, innovation and digital disruption.
Nick’s work in retail banking includes strategic due diligence in support of the home buying and home ownership ecosystem strategy for a major Australian bank, and development of consumer value propositions for Australian and Malaysian retail banks. His other financial services experience includes conducting strategic due diligence in support of the small business ecosystem strategy for the business banking division of an Australian bank, and developing the data partnering strategy for a major insurer. Nick has supported the turnaround strategy of a distressed major wealth manager, as well as various organisation design and operational topics for Australian banks and insurers.
Nick’s broader experience includes advising executives on portfolio mix, turnarounds, capital allocation and operating model design across a range of sectors including consumer goods (beverages), development and construction, and industrial goods.
Nick holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical and Space) from the University of Queensland.
