Gareth
Vaughan
Early in my career I observed the way that strategic decision making impacted businesses, and the people within them, and began to look for roles that would allow me to get more involved in this process. Among other consulting firms, PJP's were unique in their specialisation in delivering this kind of strategic thinking to some of Australia's largest companies.
Gareth joined Port Jackson Partners in 2015 after studying psychology and working as a communications and training consultant and is now a Senior Associate.
During his time at PJP, Gareth has worked on a diverse range of projects, including a top-down strategic review for a major Australian entertainment business – including developing the strategic rationale for the acquisition of one of its major competitors, developed a growth strategy proposing the creation of an entirely new business unit for a leading construction company which saw the business double in size over 2 years, worked with a major Australian electricity company to develop a robust growth strategy in a rapidly transforming industry and helped to create a risk management strategy for one of Australia’s leading financial services businesses.
Education
Gareth has a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Valedictorian, First Class Honours) from the University of Queensland. He received the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Award in 2014.
